This is a video of me practicing the most basic scale, which is C Major Scale. I chose to use this scale because it is simple and can also be considered a warm up before doing anything else in the violin. I played it very good but my violin wasn't tuned, so some notes might sound wrong.
This is me doing the G Major scale practice, another basic scale. This time I did 2 octaves because it could help more to do it with longer notes and of course from G to G and backwards. Doing it backwards helps the finger transition when moving from one string to the other. I think this is the most important part of violin, to put finger position correctly.
This was the practice for our jazz ensemble group performance. I played the intro here and since I have already done it in class as well, I think it sounds pretty good. By doing this, I hope my group assessment can be done well as I have managed to do my part correctly and properly, with not bad tempo.
This is the improvised version of the first intro. I thought improvisation would be good because it is the roots of jazz, however is very hard to do, therefore I just used basic notes and little note changes to make it sound better. There is not much of a difference, however I added repetition of the notes to make it sound catchy.
This is the solo part where only I play. It was hard for me at first to get the tempo right because I didn't listen properly but soon after I understood. I liked the catchy rhythm of this part and I think it is well played. It is also quite short, therefore it shouldn't be so difficult compared to the other parts of the song.
This is me playing the Girl From Ipanema parts, however in one octave higher. Originally, we planned to use it however the sound coming from it wasn't so good , so instead of starting in the E string like in the video, we chose to start in the D string. It was also harder to play this part because it involved using the 4th finger for the solo section.
Nice videos jor, but I heard several mistakes on the "The Girl From Ipanema" and you seem to play nervously, next time especially on the assessment play well! haha..
