Music Reflection 2nd December 2010

Today we did our final class of music in this semester. We also watched some of the other people who haven't performed, like the guitar group. We also got told of our scores that ww got in music that term, such as MDW and performances. We also submitted the Term 2 MDW. Next I am going to continuously practice my music skills so that it will get better.

Music Reflection 29 November 2010

Today in Music Class I did my assessment on playing my own composition. My composition is titled "My Life In School" and it tells the story of my activities in school. I played the song on my violin. I think I could have improved my performance because it wasn't that good, also I was a bit nervous. I should have practice more so that I can get a better score and also improve my performance. I also still have to improve on making the melody of my song so that it will match with the lyrics and fit with the melody of the song. Next I am going to practice more on my violin so that I can get a good score.

Music Reflection 8th-25th November 2010

On all these days, we kept practicing for our music composition assessments, We are going to have our assessments and we are all working hard to get agood score. I think I practiced at school almost around 3-4 times and almost everyday at home. I have trouble uploading the practice viideos and so far I have tried to upload 2 videos but none of them worked. I am going to try again after I ask Mr Herry's advice. I think I can do a pretty good job on this assessements because we had almost a whole month to prepare it and it is quite enjoyable for me personally to do. Next I am going to perform on Monday and hope that I can do good

Music Reflection 1st and 4th November 2010

On these 2 dates, we practiced our composition until we can play it. It was very interesting and I can't wait to perform. Mr Herry said I still need practice and also lessons ond where we should put our fingers. Next I am going to practice more so that my score in the music subject can get a good one and also my composition will be good to the people and teachers to hear.

Today I learned on how to put lyrics on the finale. I am going to try to do this with my composition. Next I am going to practice my composition so that I can play it better and see if the melody matches the lyrics.

Today we learned how to expand our song from 4 to 8 bars. It was pretty challenging especially on how we need to learn on the expansion first. Next I am going to finish my song and also how I could improve my expansion.

Todat we learned on how to use more advanced functions of the finale program. This makes it easier to make the song and also how to add chords and lyrics. Next I am going to try out the new functions at my own finale program and make my own song in the format of the finale.

Today we mad ethe ABACA compsition and let the teacher check it. I think I still have room for improvement although I did quite well. Next, Mr Herry is going to teach us on how to put the Composition into the Fianle program.

Today I submitted my music development workbook. I finished it just last night because I was pretty busy this week. Today I also learned the ABACA pattern different then last music class. I enjoyed today's class and next Im going to continue practicing the new lessons that Mr Herry taught me.

Today we learned how to compose a song. I composed a song but I still need to improve on it. We also learn the new lesson for the whole session so we didn't have instrument class. Next Im going to try to play my composition on the violin to hear what it sounds like.

Today I sang Somewhere out there for my assessment. I think I did the work pretty goodly. This week is hard because I had many assessments, and also 2 assessments in music the western and Indonesian song. Next, I am going to make my MDW booklet so that I can submit it on time. Overall, I like this week because I enjoy singing and got good scores for the assessments in music.

Music Reflection 4th August 2010

Today I had my Indonesia Puasaka singing assessment. I didn't memorize the lyrics but I think I sang pretty good. I think if I could memorize I could get 9 instead of 8. I am satisfied with my score and next I am going to practice harder for music.

Today is the day we are supposed to have our assessments. However a few students were absent so we postponed it to next week. This really helped me because I forgot about the test and didn't study. Next I am going to study for the test so that I can get a good score. We also learn more about scales and also the rests and sharps in the inversions.

Today we practiced on putting sharps on the inversions. I understand the topic well and I think I can Get a good score. Next I am goiong to practice about the sharps again and make an effort or my score in the theory for music be good. I think I can do well In the quiz for this topic.

This is our first class in term 2. I am excited for music because I think I can learn more stuff and also play my violin again. Next, we practiced for our inversion. We practiced again because because weare going to have a test about this in a few days. I didn't really understand at first but I finally get it because I practiced once more at home. Next Im going to study for the asssessment for inversion

This is our last music class in the term. I am kind of sad that I will not have music class but also happy because I don't need to practice anymore. I also did my assessment today. I did pretty well but made a few mistakes because I was nervous. I should have practiced in front of an audience so that i don't get nervous. Overall I think I did pretty well and I think I can get a good score.

In this session, we learned about the chord inversions again. After finishing the topic we practiced for our assessments. I am playing the Long Long Ago variation for the assessment. We also had rehearsals. Next, I am going to practice more so that I can get a good score and play better. I learned alot on violin after I practiced again.

Today, we learned about chord inversions. This is an important topic because it teaches us how to make chords and also teach us about the different conditions we need to think about if we are going to make a chord inversion. I thought this topic was easy and pretty good. I enjoyed the topic and hopefully can learn more about it.

Today I saw Linden';s group do the presentation. They did very good and gave us a lot of info on the differences in Classical and Pop music. Next, I am going to practice for my group and also make my booklet on the comparison of the 2 Pop and Classical. Linden's group got a very nice score, 8 out of 8. I learned that if we work hard we can get a good score.

Today me and my group made a better presentation. We used pop cards to make it better. Today we also watched Derrick's group perform and they got 6/8 score. Next I think we are going to do the presentation. Today we also had instrument class to practice for our instrument assesment of playing a song.

Today we performed our power point presentation. We didnt do very good and I think we can still improve. We need to do it better and give more info on the composers. Next I am gonna improve by usiing a pop card so that we don't need to look at the power point. I am going to do it by practicing more and after I practice I will get a better score.

Today in music we planneed for our project. We also did practice on our presentations. We did it by using the power pint presentation. We sent info to each other to make the work easier. After we send to each other, our group then make it together and put it into a powerpoint presentation. Next, we are going to try to make our presentation better and practice.

In today's class, Mr Herry taught us how to create a blog. I already made my blog so I just edit my blog. Today we also have to continue all about the music assesment. I hope that we can have a instrument classbecause it is boring to always learn the theory.If we do instrument class we will also be able to perform the theory. I hope I can learn from this class and learn about music.

Reflection 5th August 2010

Today, i did my music singing a pop song assesment. I sang the pop song How to Save A Life by The Fray. I think I did quite well for my assesment but i think I could improve if I wasn't nervous. I will try to work harder next time on the assesment so I can perform better.
